Very ugly, but this is just a test

You should have received an email from the chapter website about the
Tour of NPR.

It is UGGGGLLLYYY!!!

But I did not send it because of its looks. In the second graf is a
link. When you click it you will be taken to a place where you can
reserve your place at the party. Go through the process. Try it
without logging in. Then place your order and log in before checking
out.

When it comes to paying, just select pay by check and complete the
transaction. Don’t worry about the final message that talks about
going to your Paypal account.

There are lots of settings that need to be adjusted because this
system was last use several years ago to sell dinner tickets. This
is just a first attempt at a reservation system that can take
payments. I will work on the Paypal connection in the coming week or
so. If you see problems using this system let me know what they are
so I can try to fix them. As I said before, don’t worry about the
various messages.

One issue I need a resolution for is how many tickets a member can
buy at the discount. For the dinner we set that at 2, but I have not
imposed a limit on these tickets. I think I set the total inventory
of tickets at 30, so they may run out. That’s good, because it will
test whether the reservation system is working and can handle a
limited audience.
