Join the Society of Professional Journalists Washington, D.C., Pro Chapter and other SPJ chapters in Region 2 at 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, for a free virtual workshop featuring “Report the Vote” material, and on using Google tools and techniques that are especially beneficial for news professionals and those who follow the news, as the election season is about to intensify ahead of Nov. 3 Election Day.

Google News Initiative trainer Frank Bi will feature material from “Report the Vote: Election 2020,” a project of the Freedom Forum and Fors Marsh Group.

This free workshop is open to the public and is provided as part of a joint initiative between the Society of Professional Journalists and the Google News Initiative.

Google News Initiative trainer for the workshop, Frank Bi, is an engineer at Vox Media, an adjunct professor at Fordham University and president of the New York chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA).
