Broadcast history: past, present and future

“Broadcast History: Past, Present and Future,” at George Washington University Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, Room 305, at 805 21st St., NW, 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 1.

Speaker is Dr. Christopher Sterling, associate dean, Columbian College of Arts and Sciences.  A media historian and expert in the interaction of telecommunications, electronic media, economics and public policy, Sterling will provide a lively perspective on an evolving industry, from the early coverage of Beatles and John F. Kennedy, to today’s innovations with satellites, cellular devices, tablets, You Tube and beyond. Light refreshments served.
