Come to the SPJ-DC pro chapter’s annual summer picnic at YardsPark, located on the Anacostia River just south of Capitol Hill and to the east of Nationals Ballpark. The chapter board will meet from 1-2 p.m.
We expect to be in the park’s Overlook section. SPJ signs will show you the way!
Metered street parking is available (Check to see if there is a charge for parking on Sunday these days and please be aware of “No Parking” areas.) There also are a couple of parking lots with a flat $5 fee. (The Nats are away, so parking availability should be good.)
YardsPark is near the Metro. The closest stop is Navy Yard on the Green Line (use exit for U.S. Transportation Dept., not the ballpark). Follow signs to YardsPark and the Overlook area. Chapter will provide plates, cups and soft drinks, but food is potluck, so bring a main dish or a salad to share.
