FOI ombudsman bill gets public hearing

  D.C. City Council Member Mary Cheh (Ward 3) has called a public hearing June 7 at 10 a.m. on her bill to create an office to oversee compliance with the city's Freedom of Information Act. The hearing will be in Rm. 412 in the Wilson Building.

  The Committee invites the public to testify or to submit written testimony, which will be made a part of the official record. Anyone wishing to testify at the roundtable should contact Aukima Benjamin, staff assistant to the Committee on Government Operations and the Environment, at 724-8062, or via e-mail at abenjamin@dccouncil.us. Individuals will be permitted three (3) minutes for oral presentation.
