The Fall Freelance Workshop, co-sponsored by the National Press Club Freelance Committee and the D.C. Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, will be Nov. 8 at the National Press Club.
This year’s two panels cover:
- Financial management: As a freelancer, you’re running your own small business. What are the keys to managing your income and your expenses? Panelists will offer advice on how to get a handle on money issues.
- Selling yourself and your ideas: On this panel, freelancers and editors share their ideas on how to successfully pitch yourself and your stories. How do you get the attention of an editor? How can you break into that magazine you’ve always wanted to write for?
