Time to think about Dateline Awards

 Published Date: January 5, 2011

The end of the year is a great time to think about the best work you and your news organization produced. Don't let the Feb. 23, 2011, deadline for the D.C. Pro 2010 Dateline Awards sneak up on you.

Let's face it — these are rough times for our profession. Dateline Awards offer prestigious recognition and can help establish a proven record of journalistic excellence. Also, nominating journalists at your organization is a way to let them know their great work has been noticed.

Don't forget that we know have the blog category and the online-only news category to reflect the industrywide changes we are undergoing. We expect these two categories to become increasingly competitive.

Letters and application forms will be mailed out in mid-January. As always, the entry form and complete rules will be available at the chapter website, www.spjdc.org.
