Job Requirements     Washingtonian Magazine is looking for bright college graduates with good research, reporting and writing skills who don’t require a lot of hand-holding. College newspaper or other journalism experience is required; an undergraduate or graduate degree in journalism is a plus. Duties include fact-checking, research and writing. 
 
Editors, writers and department heads meet with the interns once or twice a week to discuss their own roles at the magazine and careers in journalism. Graduates of our program have gone onto publications such as Vanity Fair, People, Entertainment Weekly, National Geographic, Allure, Martha Stewart Everyday Food and USA Today (as well as landed full-time jobs at Washingtonian).
 
The positions are 40 hours a week for three months in the summer, four months in the fall and five months in the spring. The pay is $8.25 an hour.
