Yes, it is that time again to begin entering "best of journalism" contests.
For the D.C. area journalists, the big item is, of course, the DC SPJ Dateline Awards. (More on that in another posting.)
The International Committee of the SPJ is helping publicize another contest as well: The Daniel Pearl Award for Outstanding Investigative Reporting, sponsored by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), a project of the Center for Public Integrity in Washington, D.C.
The 2010 Daniel Pearl Awards competition honors the world’s best cross-border investigative journalism. It isaccepting entries until January 15, 2010.
