Love those Al Tompkins’ columns.
The latest is about a New Mexico reporter who used the free Qik video service and his iPhone to file a story. And for those who can’t wait to see how the story looked, here it is:
Qik is one of those great ideas that keeps getting better.
With any luck these pages could soon have some videos filed via Qik from the national convention.
I have used this service for about 9 months. It’s all been experimental but folks back home can see videos of some interesting things here in Brazil. (Fortunately for me my mobile phne service is not all that expensive and my smart phone — a Motorola Q — is easy to use.)
If you want to see the 21st century version of home movies, go to my Qik site. Some nice shots of Rio, Brasilia at night and a day trip just outside Brasilia.
Qik is free. All you need to do is set up an account and download the program into your phone. You can set up the videos to immediately go to your blog, Twitter site or Facebook page.
