"I Can Do It!"
Multimedia Training presented by Journalism & Women Symposium.
Spaces are limited and priority will be given to JAWS members on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Participants will have the opportunity to sharpen their skills in video shooting and editing, audio recording and editing, appearing on camera and using social networking sites to produce and promote good journalism.
The morning sessions will include tips from established professionals in the fields of audio, video and social networking, such as how to shoot a good photo for a slide show, record good audio, frame video and interview on camera. Participants will also have time to practice and learn from instructors in small groups.
In the afternoon, participants will have hands-on training in an area of their choice, with a chance to work on a project such as producing an audio slide show, editing a video, embedding a graphic on a site or creating a blog.
