SPJ-DC “Tip” for use of “free” meeting space

FYI.  Eat and drink more and tip accordingly and the chapter avoids a
$15 gratuity charge for use of National Press Club meeting space.  Either
way it is a hell of a good deal.

BTW, the sooner someone — preferably a board member who is also an NPC
member — makes a reservation for the meeting space, the less likely it is you
will have to meet on the noisy balcony.

If give me the dates for the rest of this year’s meetings, I’m happy to try
to get the McClendon Room or the Game Room for you.  Amy is also a member
— perhaps others are too — so she too can get this free accommodation for our
chapter.

Carry on.

Yep if the tip exceeds $15 there is no $15 charge. So threshold is like
$100 for party.
