Balloting in the elections for the national SPJ leadership will begin Friday, Sept. 27, and close at noon EDT on Sept. 30. You can see a full list of candidates at the SPJ Election Central page.
National SPJ held a candidates’ night forum Sept. 12. The session to introduce and hear from the candidates for the board of directors was recorded. You can see the video below.
A separate session also was held for the election of regional coordinators. SPJ DC Pro Chapter is in Region 2. Stephenie Overman, a DC Pro Chapter member, was elected Region 2 coordinator in the election in 2023, and is about to start the second year of the two-year term to which she was re-elected last year. So SPJ members in Region 2 will not be voting on any RC candidates this year.
