This is a photo from the registration table at the Journalism Job Fair in 2014, held at the Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. Many of the same sponsors and recruiters are returning in 2023!
In addition to SPJ DC Pro, the job fair — hosted by Georgetown’s Master of Professional Studies in Journalism program — co-organizers are the Washington, D.C., chapters of the following organizations:
- The National Association of Hispanic Journalists
- The National Association of Black Journalists (WABJ)
- The Asian American Journalists Association
- The Association of LGBTQ Journalists (NLGJA)
- The Journalism & Women Symposium.
Journalists have been hired as a result of every one of these job fairs, which we’ve co-organized annually since 2014 until the COVID pandemic changed the rules about indoor gatherings. We’re so proud to be a part of this team effort, and we’re excited to bring it back for the first time since the pandemic began.
