At the meeting we’ll talk about the goals for Region 2 for the next year. We’ll discuss how and where we will hold next spring’s regional conference. Virtually, yes. In person as well? Shall we go to Maryland? Virginia? North Carolina? Who wants to be on the planning committee?
And, if there’s time, let’s explore an enduring SPJ mystery: Why do chapters leave money on the table? Three times a year SPJ distributes $500 grants for innovative programs and events that help build membership, but few chapters apply. The next deadline is 5 p.m. Oct. 17. Let’s brainstorm ideas.
