The D.C. Pro chapter of SPJ is holding this year's Hall of Fame dinner June 14 at Maggiano’s Little Italy, 5333 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Washington, D.C.
For many years, the dinner was at the National Press Club. But the move to Maggiano's allowed the chapter to lower ticket prices 25 percent. Attendees can use either Metro or valet parking.
The chapter will induct new members into the Hall of Fame and will give a Distinguished Service Award. The honorees will be announced soon.
The chapter also will give out the Dateline Awards for excellence in journalism and recognize its 2011 Robert D.G. Lewis winner for Watchdog Journalism.
Hall of Fame winners will join an illustrious group, which include names like Bob Woodward, Jack Limpert and Diane Rehm.
If you have questions or would like to get involved, please e-mail D.C. Pro board members and dinner co-chairs Tim Ebner (tebner@commworksllc.com) and Garth Hogan (ghogan@asmusa.org).
