Save the date!

The D.C. Pro chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists has announced the 2011 date for its Hall of Fame dinner. Mark your calendars and please consider joining SPJ members for dinner and drinks on Tuesday, June 14, at 6 p.m. at Maggiano's Little Italy, 5333 Wisconsin Ave. NW, Washington, D.C.

SPJ will be honoring great Washington journalists. The organization plans to induct new members into its Hall of Fame and give its annual Distinguished Service Award.

As the Dateline Awards are announced, the chapter also will recognize its 2011 Robert D.G. Lewis award winner, given to a journalist upholding First Amendment rights.

Hall of Fame winners will join an illustrious group of journalists, including Bob Woodward (The Washington Post), Jack Limpert (Washingtonian) and Diane Rehm (NPR).
