I have long been advocating more and better use of the FREE data available at the Census Bureau to develop and flesh out stories.
The latest American Community Survey report is coming out Sept. 28. To help reporters understand what is in the report and how to access that information, the Census Bureau is hosting a web seminar Sept. 23 at 2:45 p.m. EDT.
According to the Census Bureau release:
The Web conference will consist of a simultaneous audio conference and online presentation. Reporters will be able to ask questions via the audio conference once the presentation is complete.
The conference will be run by:
- Sharon Stern, assistant division chief, Project Coordination, Communication, and Data User Support, American Community
- Survey Office
- Scott Boggess, chief, American Community Survey Coordination Staff, Housing and Household Economic Statistics Division
- Trent Alexander, chief, Data Analysis and User Education Branch, American Community Survey Office
