Ratification of the Bill of Rights

On this date in 1791 the first 10 amendments to the US Constitution, collectively known as the Bill of Rights, were ratified.

A reminder of the First Amendment (and it is called the FIRST for a reason):

Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
