The Bishop O’Connell High School web site posted a brief article about local and national SPJ essay winner Erin 
McDonough and students from O’Connell who earned honorable mentions, David Bundren, Kelly Kundinger and Suzanne Holland.
McDonough and an escort will be the guest of a DC SPJ member at the chapter’s annual awards dinner June 15 for winning the locla competition. She will receive a $1,000 check for winning the national contest.
