The D.C. Pro chapter’s board of directions is accepting suggestions for the chapter’s Hall of Fame and for its Distinguished Service in Local Journalism Award. Honoress will be recognized at the Dateline Awards dinner in June 2010.
The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2010.
The criterion for membership in the Hall of Fame is simply this: strong journalism 
over at least 25 years in Washington. The 2009 inductees were CBS News anchor Bob Schieffer, Public Broadcasting Service correspondent Gwen Ifill, U.S. News & World Report correspondent Kenneth T. Walsh and BNA editor Toby McIntosh.

The Distinguished Service Award goes to someone who has contributed to the development of local journalism, mentored other journalists and/or worked in the community.
