Census Bureau unveils 2010 Census facility in Baltimore

With the 2010 Census coming up, here is an opportunity to learn how the Census Bureau will run the operation. The Baltimore center is the only one of three in the nation.

WHAT:

Opening of the 2010 Census Data Capture Center in Essex, Md., and creation of thousands of new jobs in support of the 2010 Census.  This is one of only three facilities in the nation to process 2010 Census questionnaires. Tours and reception follow the brief program.

DIRECTIONS:

  • I-95 to Exit 61, Pulaski Hwy/US-40.
  • Merge onto Pulaski Hwy
  • Turn right at Rossville Blvd
  • Turn right at Kelso Dr
  • 8411 Kelso will be at the end of the drive on the left
